On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival and with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China approaching, at the invitation of Rector Abdullaev of the International Industrial University of Samarkand, a delegation led by Yu Jun, Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, went to the International Industrial University of Samarkand to attend relevant activities. During the activities, Yu Jun visited the China Electric Power College jointly established by the International Industrial University of Samarkand and our university. Wang Xiaohui, the acting dean of the China Electric Power College dispatched by our university, participated in the relevant activities.
Ambassador Yu Jun's Speech
In his speech, Yu Jun emphasized that the relationship between China and Uzbekistan has a long history, and the two peoples share similar values and cultural traditions. He also affirmed the various works of the China Electric Power College. He pointed out that in recent years, the two countries have had close exchanges and have been committed to promoting national development, serving the people, and building a community with a shared future for China and Uzbekistan. China and Uzbekistan have extensive cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, education, and ecology, jointly contributing to the construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative. Yu Jun also answered questions from students of the China Electric Power College regarding China's achievements in reform and opening up, and the construction of Chinese-style modernization.
Abdullaev introduced the history of the founding and development of the International Industrial University of Samarkand, with a particular focus on the process of establishing the China Electric Power College through the cooperation between Northeast Electric Power University and the International Industrial University of Samarkand, as well as the grand occasion of the two universities jointly hosting the Nowruz Dragon Boat Festival in May 2024. He also shared his feelings about visiting our university to participate in the Innovation and Development Conference to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of our university on September 8.
Wang Xiaohui reported on the construction situation of the China Electric Power College. He pointed out that the China Electric Power College is the first specialized energy and power college established in Uzbekistan through the cooperation between a Chinese university and a university in Uzbekistan. It is also the first energy and power college established through the cooperation between a Chinese university and a university in Central Asia. In the future, the two universities will further deepen their cooperation and plan to establish a comprehensive university of electric power application technology.

o warmly celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the 75th anniversary of the founding of Northeast Electric Power University, and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, the China Electric Power College has successively carried out a series of activities at the International Industrial University of Samarkand. On September 6, the China Electric Power College completed the enrollment work of the second batch of students and invited the Confucius Institute in Samarkand to teach the new students methods of Chinese learning and HSK test preparation. While continuously improving the teaching and scientific research levels, the college will encourage students to improve their autonomous learning abilities, continuously enhance the quality of the cooperative education between the two universities, and contribute to the friendly relations between China and Uzbekistan and the construction of the "Belt and Road" Initiative.
