In order to accelerate the realization of the strategic goal of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", we will make every effort to promote the construction of a "new power system with new energy as the main body". On the afternoon of September 15, the "2022 International Industry-University-Research Cooperation Conference New Power System Sub-Forum" was hosted by our university successfully, which was broadcast live simultaneously on Zoom and Tencent conferences.

This forum invited 4 experts and scholars (including 2 Humboldt scholars) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology in Russia, Cardiff University in the United Kingdom, and Dortmund University of Technology in Germany to share their experience in electric power. The latest research results in system-related fields, more than 180 audiences from home and abroad participated in this conference online.

The forum was chaired by Professor Jiang Tao from our university. Professor Jiang Tao introduced the purpose and significance of the forum and extended a warm welcome to the four guests. Then Professor Xu Yan from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore gave a report entitled "Coordinated Operation and Planning of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) in Microgrids", introducing his team's research results on distributed energy planning and operation; from Russia Prof. Vladimir Terzija from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology gave a report titled "Situational Awareness and Control of Future Power Systems", sharing the latest developments of his research teams in the UK and Russia on situational awareness and control of power systems Research results; Dr. Zhou Yue from Cardiff University in the UK gave a report entitled "Development of Smart Local Energy Systems in the UK", introducing the composition and development of smart energy systems in the UK and their inspiration for the construction of smart energy systems in China; from Dortmund Industry, Germany Dr. Jin Zhao from the University gave a report titled "Machine Learning Supported Resilient Power Grids", introducing how he applied machine learning to the assessment and improvement of power system resilience.

During the forum, teachers and students of our university conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with experts on frontier and hot issues related to the new power system. The successful holding of this forum has promoted the academic exchanges between teachers and students of our university and foreign experts and scholars expanded the scientific research horizons of teachers and students, promoted the scientific research of the electrical engineering discipline of our university, and expanded the domestic and foreign influence of the electrical engineering discipline of our university.
